Hot For Santa

Hot for Santa (Hot in the City #5)

I would be hot for Santa too if he was sporting what this one is. This is short but has two characters that I liked and was more than happy to see get a little Merry in their Christmas. There was a limited story line that let you know why and how the couple came to be where they were.  I am always happy with the writing in these stories. I was drawn in and did not stop until it was finished, it ended much to soon because I wanted more on these two.

Amy Finnegan is working as an elf along with her friend Cole Bradshaw who is portraying Santa Claus. Cole is one very sexy Santa and Amy has been fantasizing about him for a month. She was glad when he asked her to do this for charity and has been hoping that something might come of it, but so far nothing. Here it is the last day and she has lost all hope of getting him to notice how she feels. When he invites her over for Christmas Eve to drink eggnog and watch a movie she at first thinks he may be thawing, but then decides not to get her hopes up. What he has in mind will make for a very Merry Christmas for them both.

This was very hot with light Dom/sub play. I say read this if you want a hot Christmas and some gift ideas. 🙂

“It’s open. Come on in.” Amy sighed. He couldn’t even be bothered to answer the door? It solidified her theory that he saw her only as a friend—a very casual, mi casa es su casa kind of friend. Reaching for the knob, she eased the door inward, surprised to find the lighting so dim when she stepped inside. The first thing she spotted was the fire blazing in the small hearth in his living room—a toasty welcome from the typical Chicago winter dropping snow on the suburbs outside. The second thing she noticed was Cole sprawling comfortably in an easy chair. Wearing nothing but his Santa hat. Amy sucked in her breath, felt dizzy. What the hell…?

South Beach (Hot in the City #4)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was another nice story in the series that gave us a look at someone not directly linked to the March sisters but who was in Las Vegas with one of them at the same company. The characters as just as well laid out as usual and you will either like them or hate them. The set-up is familiar but at least different enough that you do not feel like you are reading the same book as before with different names, which could happen when things are close like this. The local is another that made me want to go and lay out and just enjoy the sun and gorgeous men.

Holly Pettit’s life took a turn that she never expected when she was an idealistic 18-year-old working for the summer at a South Beach Hotel. After that summer her world fell apart because of a man and the course of her life became something that she has not been exactly proud of since then. Trey Kennedy is the man who made her love him and then suddenly left her life without a word.

Holly and her friend take a vacation at the Imperial Palms Hotel where they both worked ten years ago never expecting to run into Trey. But while out at the pool who comes along and seems to still be working there but the man himself.

This was very hot and not for anyone who does not like some heat with their tale. The love story was a little thin but that was alright because it still worked.Quick read for a lonely night.

Sin City (Hot in the City #2)

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is a very hot series and gets better every time I read one. I was grabbed right out of the box by the prologue which gave me all the incentive I needed to continue reading. It had one of the hottest phone sex scenes I have ever read and got me interested in both the characters who were involved. The characters were also all written extremely well from the mains to the side ones you get to know something about who they are. The situations depicted were beautifully written and definitely made the temperature rise for me. I loved the setting because I love the place, Las Vegas is my idea of heaven, partly because it was an anything goes place, not so much anymore.

Diana Marsh lives in Baltimore and has a great family, though they tend to be a bit controlling. When her sister in New Orleans breaks ranks and decides to go her own way for love, Diana decides that she must give up her bad girl ways and be the good girl her family wants. That is easier said then done since she has been flirting with a co-worker by phone and email for months, and she is very interested in him, even though they will likely never meet.

Marc Davenport works in the corporate office in Las Vegas and has been calling on Diana regularly for her help on various problems. He has also been flirting shamelessly with the attractive woman in marketing whose picture he has committed to memory. He knows she has a boyfriend, though she does not seem into him, but he really wants to get to know her better. That chance presents itself when a team member leaves and they need a woman to complete their task, and Adrianna calls in Diana to help them. How good can you be when there is a hot man waiting to do the most delicious things to you, how good would you want to be.

Great story with characters who are smart, sexy, and very human. This has BDSM play, mmf play, and mff play. Recommend to all.

French Quarter (Hot in the City #1)

I was so surprised by this, in a pleasant way. The story moves very quickly, almost to quickly from introduction to action though I am not complaining. I liked that it was moving at break neck speed but still managing to give story with enough tension to keep you engaged. I liked the characters from the beginning was very happy to follow them on their journey of discovery about themselves. The characters each have distinctive personalities that you can relate to either negatively or positively which allows for being pulled into their plight. I love the setting of New Orleans, though I have never been there reading this made me want to visit even more. However, I am sure it is nothing like it was characterized here, as much fun as it would be if it were.

Liz Marsh is a recent transplant to New Orleans, she moved there with her fiancé from Maryland when he was transferred for his job. Liz was always an obedient child who grew into an obedient woman, always doing as she was told. After 6 months Todd, the fiancé starts to stay out late every night and Liz believes he is having an affair and decides to find out for certain what is going on.

Jack Wade is a private eye who works and lives in the French Quarter, he is Cajun and one good-looking man. When Liz walks into his office and asks him to find out what her fiancé is up to he initially turns her down because he no longer takes cases like that. But after a little persuasion and flirtation he takes on the case and finds out what she wants to know very quickly.

For Liz it is a moment of liberation and for Jack the start of something he could never have expected. What started as a job for one and a search for truth of the other turns into a sexual odyssey that neither could have expected when she walked through his door. But when that second door opens you need to make sure that the first one has been closed because otherwise things can go dark when you least expect it.

After reading this I cannot wait to read about the other Marsh sisters. If the decadence and hedonism are even half of what has been seen here, then sign me up for a move to the Big Easy!
